what was the clubs and equipment you would have had in the 1920s and what would you carry now?
no not the differances but what was carried than and what you carry now, not comparring the two but like a list from the 1920s stuff and a list for the stuff now
the difference? your question does not make sense, sorry,
in the 20s, clubs were made of hickory shafts, and snapped easily, and drivers and fway woods were made of wood, and were pressed and laminated.
todays clubs have steel shafts and graphite shafts, and high moi, variable face thickness, low center of gravity, superlight titanium heads, forged 1025 steel cnc milled wedges. yes, the improvements are spectacular, and how far technology in golf has become is amazing. i could go on all day.
good luck.
in the 20′s, they usually carried 4 or 5 woods: #1-driver, #2-brassie, #3-spoon, #4-cleek, #5- baffy. the irons were 2 thru 9. #2-mid-iron, #3-mid-mashie, #4-(i’m not sure, but might be a spade) #5-mashie, #6 spade mashie, #7-mashie niblick, #8(not sure, might be a spade niblick),#9-niblick, and of course, a putter. 2009 is very different, most golfers only carry 2 or 3 woods, irons 3 thru PW+SW+LW. many people eliminate their long irons and use hybrids, many also use a gap wedge. i hope this will help.
