  1. When i started golf i bought a golf set – consisting of 3 woods, 3-pw irons, sand wedge and a putter. I bought these for £99.99.

You can find these sets anywhere. Some examples of names of these sets are ‘Ram’, ‘Ryder’ and ‘Regal’. Theyr’e great at getting you started.

Once you do start, you will find that it is very hard to hit the ball. I know mana people who has bought their set, and played a few times, and found that they can’t do it, so gave up. DONT GIVE UP!

If you are really struggling, book a lesson. I never had a lesson when i started, I now play of 5. Lessons are reccomended, but not compulsary.

    Good luck!!
    Hope you enjoy!!

  2. All you really need is an inexpensive starter set to get going. Once you decide whether or not you like the game, then you can look in to buying a better set of clubs. Here are a few nice starter sets.

Cougar Lady X-Cat Tour II Starter Golf Package
GOLF GIRL PETITE Complete Lady Package w/Pink Cart Bag
Wilson Womens Hope LX Woods/Irons Set
Confidence HQ7 Square LADY Complete Set with Cart Bag

These sets come with a bag and putter also, so you can get out and enjoy the game

  3. Sports Authority has alot of complete sets for beginners. Brands like Wilson, Orlimar, Tour Collection, Affinity, Golden Bear, RAM, Tommy Armour, Jack Nicklaus, and more. You can check online on the sets they have, but it’s better if you go to the store, because there is more sets in store, and Tour Collection is only available in store in Sports Authority. These sets can cost from $100-$250. I recommend getting one of these sets, they are good for beginners. Avoid getting clubs in Big 5, those clubs suck. Sets that are available online are on the link below in the sources. You can also check Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Sport Chalet, they have good sets there also.

  4. before you go play on the course , find time to take your pitching wedge or 9 iron and go hit some golf balls in a park or grasy field of some sort.. just getting comfortable with ball contact.. dont worrie about anything but hitting the ball strait… nothing else matters grab your putter and practice at home on your carpet for a wild , get the feel of how far the ball goes with each swing like mini golf kinda.. if you have time go to a driving range and hit a bucket of golf balls or two if you want too.. remember always start with your 9 iron to get a good tempo… golf is a good walk and a major challange , keep track of your score with your own score card so next time you go you will see your improvement and you will improve quickly so dont get frustrated just hit the ball get the feel of the clubs and enjoy the fresh air.. you can also rent clubs at the course if you dont want to buy some but i would grab a set and spend a half hour at the range and a half hour in the park with a p-wedge and maybe a half hour in your back yard with your p wedge hitting soft short shots. maybe putt the ball around in you living room . then go hit the course . bring comfortable shoes a beverage a smaller towel to wipe off your clubs maybe some bug spray and comfortable clothing that looks a little nice. OH YA . you may have somone giving you a lot of golf swing tips its human nature for somone to try to help you , listn to the tips but dont think about them too much trust your swing good or bad for now and dont get too hung up on where your elbow is or what knee to bend.. trust your swing for now and enjoy the day… dont forget your cool golf hat!

  5. Sure and caddy and pick a club or two from the golfer.

  6. If you are serious about llearning the game u should go with game improvement clubs that have a large sweetspot and miss hits still go straight: For a driver i would go with the Nike SQ Sumo2 5900 its square and has a huge sweet spot. For irons i would go with the callaway big berthas and get a hybdrid (all are pretty easy to hit). For puttters just hit a couple and see what ure comfortable with.
