In 1945 Byron Nelson won 18 official tours and one unofficial. The sportsman won 11 tour events in succession. This is also a record. Sam Snead became a professional golfer in 1934. By 1965 the golfer won 81 PGA tour events.

Kathy Whitworth, a professional golf player, has set up a record among sportswomen by winning 88 times on LPGA from 1959 to 1991.

This record was established by Robert Mitera at Miracle Hill Golf Club in Omaha, Nebraska on the 7th of October 1965. He hit the ball in a hole from the distance measured 408 meters. So the golfer put the ball in the 10th hole. By sportswomen this record makes up 359 meters and belongs to Marie Robie. The record was set up in 1949.
