its longer than 10 years but I have two:
1. Graphite shafts- made the game a lot more fun and accessible for bazillions of people by getting shafts lighter and more flexible in shaft flex and kick point.
2. Metal "woods", namely the 7 and 9 woods.
callaway’s Heavenwood and Divine Nine changed the game for a lot of people. I know of nobody who would take a 3 iron over a 7 wood.
Hybrids have their place in the top 5 or so, but they are not much more than a small wood-type head with a shorter shaft. I get as much control and distance with my 9 wood as I did from any hybrid I tried out.

I agree. It has to be the original Pro V1. More distance, more feel. Best of both worlds.

Hmmm….perhaps "metal" woods…you won’t find many people playing the old wooden drivers or fairway woods.
Golf balls are much improved. There must be a huge difference between a Pro V1 and a 10 year old ball.
Hybrids have been big the past few years. I used one this season, but probably would have been better off without it hehe.
I think irons are basically the same…at least irons designed for low handicap players.
Tiger Woods
I would have to say the hybrid club, it is alot easier to hit than most long irons, and can be a decent chipping club as well.
Marketing….convining people that $3 balls perform better than raneg balls for the average 20 handicapper.
Maybe the over sized titanium drive with light weight graphite shaft.
